1) Does Pet Traders actually trade pets?
No, of course not, all of our animals are from breeders so that we can
guarantee you healthy high quality pets.
2) Does Pet Traders carry live
animals?
Pet Traders carries a wide assortment of smaller birds and rodents.
Unfortunately we do not ship these outside of Winnipeg, Manitoba,
Canada.
3) Does Pet Traders sell dogs or
cats?
No and yes. Pet Traders currenlty does not sell dogs but plans to in the
future. We do sel/place recsue kittens and have found homes for over 450
kittens since we started.
4) Does Pet Traders sell tropical
fish?
Pet Traders carries
a wide assortment of tropical fish.
Unfortunately we do not ship these outside of Winnipeg, Manitoba,
Canada.
5) Does Pet Traders sell Marine fish
and organisms?
Yes. We also carry a
selection of Marine supplies.

Is it cold in Winnipeg, Manitoba in the winter?
YES!
7) Do
you sell Guinea Pigs and the supplies to properly keep and house them?
Yes, we sell Guinea pigs and all of the supplies that you would need.
The piggies themselves cost $24.99 and they are usually quite young
(around 7 weeks.) As for supplies- brand new, we can set you up with a
'kit' that we make up in our store that gives you everything that you
would require, including full size shavings, food, water bottle,
vitamins, a dish and treats for about the same price that you would
spend at another pet store for a 'pre-made' brand name kit with small
shavings and small food. (cost is around $70.00, depending on how
extravagant you want to be!!) We very often have used cages in, and they
are 1/2 the cost of new ones.
If you could visit the store, or contact us via phone or email, we could
explain some of the items that are absolutely necessary and some other
items that are 'fun'; but not staples. Then you can decide for yourself
what type of kit you would like.

What size Dog Kennels do you have?

In our wire dog kennels we sell a:

These prices are for new kennels, and include the tray.
In our plastic dog kennels we sell smaller kennels (for cats and small
dogs) that range from 19" to 26" and they range in price from $24.99 to
$49.99. In the larger kennels we have:

These prices are for new kennels. We sell a variety of sizes of
used kennels, but rarely have any 'in stock' as they are very popular
and don't last long on the floor. Please call us to find out what
kennels we have in our used inventory on any given day.
Just to give you sizing examples:

32" kennel would be for a Wheaten Terrier

36" kennel would be for a female Lab (around 60lbs)

40" kennel would be for a male Lab (around 80lbs)

48" kennel would be for a large Rottwieler, Bouvier, Newfie, etc (up
to about 150lbs)

Do you sell 75 to 90 gallon aquariums?
Yes we do. Generally we have 70 gal tanks in stock. They are 48x18x18
and cost $199.99. We can order in larger tanks (and we also get tanks
of all shapes and sizes in used.) The price really jumps over 70 gal,
because the thickness of the glass increases, and so do shipping costs.
A 90 gal usually costs around $399.99.

Do you sell hedgehogs....if so how much are they?
Yes, we do sell hedgehogs
for $109.99. We also sell many of the supplies for
them, including cages, shavings, hiding homes and live bugs for food!
